Windows XP SP2 ''Problem''??

Could u plz figure out what is going on!!!!……last few days I installed the XP SP2 windows. And it worked in good condition. Suddenly I restart the computer and it asked me for a password by the way I didn’t put any password for the user or the Admin user I did try through the safe mode even though it asked me a gain for the both user password I don’t know what is wrong with this???!!!!!!!

I have Laptop HP Pavilion dv5000 and I don’t have a Floppy drive.

Did you install XP, or did it come pre-installed? Either way, it should have asked for an admin password when you installed/first ran Windows.

But if you never entered a password, then the only way I see a password getting on there is from someone else that used the computer, or possibly a virus of some sort.

Did you try just hitting enter?

I'm the only one, using this PC. And I installed this windows recently 1 day back, by the way i'm using the same windows in another PC and it's working perfect without any problem.
