Windows XP to Mac package

I built a zip file of all the things I used to customize Windows XP to look like Mac OS X Tiger. First, here are some screenshots.

Before you do this you will need the UXTheme Patcher from
here.

Here is a link to the zip file:

If the above link does not work here is an alternative link:

http://files-upload.com/269057/TigerX.zip.html

The compressed file contains the following (I have modified some of these files to more accurately look like Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger) -

  • 1400+ Tiger Icons
  • Tiger Wallpapers
  • MCbar - Mimics the top toolbar in OS X
  • AveDesk & Yahoo Widgets - Imitates the OS X Dashboard
  • TigerVS Msstyle - Imitates the Tiger theme (requires UXtheme Patcher above)
  • RKlauncher V4 (Includes modded theme to more acurately imitate OS X)
  • Safari clone for Windows - Mac Web Browser Do not use this Safari clone because Apple just released the real Safari for Windows. ;)
  • iTunes Installer
  • Finder for Windows
  • Y'z Toolbar
  • Y'z Shadow

I probably forgot to list something, but everything you need is in the zip file. Sorry about the size of the file (108MB) that's just what it came out to be. What do you think?

Looks realy impressive mate :)

i think it looks much better than other known transformation packs such as Flyakite Osx and Tigermilk.

Does running all those things to transform it though use alot of ram?

EDIT:

The page you gave to download it from isnt working for me at the moment :(

The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable.
Please try again later.

Thanks! I have not noticed any speed differences. I have posted a new link below the old one. Strange, the download worked for me.

I almost forgot, You can use Stardock WindowBlinds to make the theme even more realistic. It's not free though (at lest, Stardock does not intend for it to be free). :D

Once fully applied, what's the hit on system resources? How much RAM is required?

This pack looks really polished and mac-like!

I just found a bar that will add the "File, Edit, View, Go, Window, and Help" buttons to the Windows taskbar. It does not actually show the same buttons that are in the program you are (as in MCbar and the real Mac OS X), but it is pretty good. It is called FinderBar and you can download it here. The menus on it are a lot more realistic than the MCbar ones. Just download the file and install. once installed click "Start>All Programs>Landvermesser>FinderBar>FinderBar_Engine. It will appear very badly at first, to fix this just right click on the bar and click "Skin It!" (you may have to also right click on the bar and click "reload". Give it a try. ;)

They are to expensive and my torrent download speed is really really slow so I can't download OS X x86. Otherwise I would.

find a new torrent with more seeders

you are young you can save up for anything you don't have bills to pay!!!!

You can get a macbook starting at 1000 bucks, thats not bad. Get a used mac mini, those are super cheap

http://cgi.ebay.com/APPLE-MAC-MINI-...QQihZ019QQcategoryZ114190QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

And the G4 ones have better onboard graphics chipsets.

**EDIT**however that seller has no good feedback so don't buy from them.

I might be able to affordthis
though. How does it look?

Jordan, what actual theme, icon sets, and widget settings did you use to get it like yours?

The icons are "1400 Panther Icons" from OSX-E.com (sorry, not Tiger)
Yahoo Widgets and AveDesk
I don't remember the name of the theme because I use WindowBlinds now. I do know that it is made by Kol at StudioTwentyEight.com.
