J jayd New Member Jun 24, 2006 #1 I made a thread on this not so long ago. Problem WAS solved (ish) by entering a code file in DOS. Basically I couldn't update windows (at all), now I cannot update just 5. Any help appreciated.

Start > All Programs > Windows Update Which then takes me to the main screen, where you can either select EXRESS or CUSTOM. Select one, and I get these updates: High-priority updates Microsoft Windows XP Security Update for Windows XP (KB913580) Download size: 0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install) Security Update for Windows XP (KB908531) Download size: 0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install) Update for Windows XP (KB900485) Download size: 0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install) Security Update for Windows XP (KB911562) Download size: 0 KB , 0 minutes (Downloaded; ready to install) I then opt to install all of the above, then subsequently get a message telling me 'Updates were not successfully installed'. Hopefully this makes sense.
