windows xp user account settings?

using windows xp

set up as admin,

daughter has her own user account

when i play dvd it works on admin.

when she tries to play, denied.

how do you change that?

yes, but i went n made her admin, so the movies work. just was worried about her deleting/doing stuff she doesnt know that shes doing. shes 8 yrs old.

can you limit the abilities of a limited account? how do you do that?

i managed to change to admin and she can watch movies now.

You might want to try VLC media player, its free. Or something like powerdvd or nero or something like that, not free however. I did come across this online, not sure if it will help in your situation or not but here it is.

I believe that refers to using WMP 11. not sure what version you are using???
