Windows XP

maybe but not any time soon, vista wan't be out in tell jan-07 but it's not expected for most people to buy it in tell 08
 
I think you should purchase Xp, it will be worth the money, and is in many ways better than 98
 
If Microsoft continues the trend they have followed for over a decade, XP prices will never drop. What they will do, as they always have, is simply discontinue it and the suppliers will stop selling it to us. The last example was Windows Me when XP became mainstream. I offered a lot of computers for sale with Me after XP was released, but suddenly the stream of supply dried up and we were forced to XP. No big deal.
 
i think newegg has it the cheapist, but look at bestbuy or something, they might have something with a rebate or something

you know I am in China,things are even much cheaper here.
