I just got my my windows re-installed on my school laptop by the IT department and that was sitting on my desktop. What is it and is it important?

as you can tell by the name, it fixes a windows socket problem I 'm pretty sure has to do with XP networking. My router connection was giving me a "Limited or no Connectivity" bubble when my internet was messed up, and I used the winsock fix to restore it.
In other words, it shouldn't be somethnig to worry about. Just save it somewhere in case the school people want it again.
