Got a winxp opperating system that when it boots up, the System32 folder is displayed.....always every boot and does this to which ever of 2 users sign on. How do I stop it from happnening?

Has it done this ever since you loaded it?
Run msconfig and deselect programs you don't want to start up.
A virus and spyware scan could help.

Selective Startup

I unchecked "LOAD STARTUP ITEMS" ; REBOOTED: And the Win32 folder did NOT pop up. To confirm, I rechecked it and the folder did popup. I have AdAware and it had found some cookies and nastys that I removed but the folder still poped up. ONLY doing the unchecking startup did it stop. WHY? And where do I go to keep it stopped if I recheck "NORMAL STARTUP" ?
