Yop everyone!
so, i now got my new computer up and running (specs in sig).
i got my gpu driver, and i think it works... but none of my games work,
i've downloaded most of the games long time ago (on WinXP to External HD).
but now when i got Win7u, nearly none of the games works... i've still just tested few, but i can give you some infos...

-TrackMania 2 Canyon
-Silkroad Online
-CrossFire (EU)
+Urban Terror
+Wolfenstein Enemy Territory
[-doesn't work]
[+does work]

what wrong? i've tried to re-install CrossFire (EU), but it doesn't seem to work, from where i downloaded it, it doesn't say like it's only for WinXP or something... soo? what should i do? (i do have a possibility to reinstall WinXPSP2)

right click on the shortcut, select properties and then select compatibility mode and set it for XP.
If this doesnt work, try XP mode.

XP mode won't game good at all. If compatibility mode doesn't work he'll be out of luck.

If you can't get them working in Win7, you could always dual-boot with XP.

why do i need EasyBCD? im now formatting WinXP to my computer (just addition to Win7, not deleting Win7)

Because otherwise you won't be able to boot back into Windows 7. You use EasyBCD to fix the boot menu and allow you to boot both 7 and XP.

you nead it because the NTLDR in XPs Bootloader will not see windows 7. Easy BCD overwrites XPs bootloader with 7's bootloader, letting you use both.

i just deleted Win7 and installed XP.. lol, 7 wasn't really for me :D games are working now :P

Well if you want Windows 7 you can shrink the XP partition and install 7 on the empty space. Then you won't have to use EasyBCD.
