Wireless adapter?

With my new computer build I'm going to be needing a wireless adapter. Is it better to go with one of those USB ones or the pci slot ones?
Also what do I need to look for are the wireless N ones for 30-50 dollars ok?

My computer will be in my room and the router is downstairs so there will definitely be walls in the way. My router is wireless g...
So just the usb adapters can't recieve a signal through walls and I'll have to get one of those two options with the antenna? I do want to receive the best signal I can.

USB adapters without external antennas do not get good signals because...they don't external antennas. It's not saying that it can't receive signal through walls, it's just that the signal won't be as strong. Usually PCI wireless cards are the way to go, but if you don't have any open slots a USB one with external antenna works fine too.

that's the board i'm getting. just have the normal stuff processor, memory, graphics card (gtx 460) etc..
 
Hi, from my experience your better off spending a little extra on a decent brand...! Ralink chip and software are very poor.:mad:
I too tried a similar cardS then ended up chucking cheapo card away, to purchase a High quality brand for excellent results....:D It's the old saying "You only get what you pay for"...!
