wireless card

i just got a Linksys wireless card today, downloaded the drivers, the Power light and Link lights are on, but wont connect? do i have 2 put in the CD 4 the router2 set it up? i have 1 problem though, i dont have a CD-ROM on here , the laptops real thin and requires a external CD-ROM, which i havent gotten yet. could i download the router installation thingy?

Well you can setup the router wirelessly or through the ethernet cord. Either way you will need to connect.

Try typing these into the IE bar for connecting to the web based protion of the router setup.

\\192.168.2.1
\\192.168.1.1

There are a few more to try, but it will be one of those.

If not you can plug in an ethernet cable and try to set it up that way.

go to http://192.168.2.1 and when it asks for username and password, leave the username blank, and the password is admin. you should then be able to access.
