Wireless connection problems.

Hello. I have an Acer Aspire E5-574 laptop and for the last year or so, my ability to connect to any wifi signal has been constantly degenerating. Now, its so bad that I can't connect to a network unless the router is within a couple of meters of my computer. Most of the time, my computer wont even pick up signals and will show "no connections available" even when other devices connect easily.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my wireless drivers, restoring my computer to factory and doing the flushdns commands. Things like that. Are there any possible fixes for this problem, or is it a hardware issue?
I have read that Acer computers have wireless problems sometimes but none of the solutions have worked for me so far. I am running on windows 10.

Thank you.

Probably just need to replace the internal WiFi card, you can get them cheap from 10-15 bucks.

Even cheaper if you get a USB dongle. Chinese one is 99 cents (I think, I'm a brit)

Worth buying as a backup and cheap enough to test without having to take your laptop apart which can be an absolute nightmare. If it works with the dongle then you know it's the internal wireless card and you can then face the massive hassle of taking the laptop apart to find the card and replace it. Good luck.

Go on newegg or amazon spend 20-25 bucks for a dual band Intel 7260-AC internal wifi chip.. I've put those in many laptops, including several Acers. It's only Dell, Lenovo, IBM essentially that have whitelisted wifi card in BIOS so changing them won't boot unless you mod the BIOS.

Easy install if never done it before. 2 antenna leads, 1 screw... thats all! (see below from an ASUS laptop) old N card removed... new dual band 7260-AC installed!!

Stupidly expensive especially after doing all that it turns out that the wireless card is good. Oh well whatever.
