Wireless Connection

Hi All,

I'm having a few probelms trying to connect my new laptop to my Orange broadband livebox router. When i open the wireless connection and try to connect to my router it comes up with the following message:

“Windows could not finish repairing the because the following action cannot be completed:
Renewing Your IP Address.

For assistance, contact the person who manages your network.”

Any idea where i'm going wrong? My laptop uses a Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card and i'm trying to connect to my orange broadband livebox.

please explain what you are doing are you just double clicking on the network or clicking connect?
 
you dont have any security setting set like the MAC adress filter on it will do somethign close to that also you can manually config your ip by

run>cmd>ipconfig>hit enter
