Hi all, Im having problems with my desktop internet connection and i was hoping someone here could help. I built the desktop myself and am using an ASUS USB-N10 adapter for my wireless(drivers are up to date). My network is a g network but the adapter states that it is backwards compatable with g. However, my internet connection is VERY slow. I ran a speed test from speakeasy and my results were a download rate of .14 mbps and an upload rate of .85 mbps, while my laptop(with an internal g card), which is sitting 2 feet away from the desktop can easily hit 13 mbps download. Anyone have any ideas of what is going wrong?

It could be wireless interferince near the computer, How is the computer on a lan cable? I have the same problem with my computer over by my modeom, It has to use a lan card or it wont connect

Yeah it might be useful to purchase an USB extension cord or hub so you can place the wifi further away from the computer.
