wireless internet, internet stick and router problems!

Hi every im new to forums!

Ok so my boyfriend has just bought a PEAK LAN internet stick and he has a router which currently sits in the living room and the computer is upstairs in bedroom.

there was never anything wrong with the signal/connection, but the past week the connection has been failing and the best signal we have been able to get has been "very low" or "low".

It disconnects all the time, sometime doesnt connect at all. Any suggestions?

Is it worth moving the router around? or maybe even the computer?

Or uninstalling the software and re-installing it?

First off let me be the first to welcome you to the forums

If you have had this setup before with the router and computer in the same locations and it worked fine it could be the router is going out. I have had this issue with a router 20 feet from my compters and a clear line of sight that worked fine and then had the same issues. after getting a new router everything was back to normal.

This could also be the driver to the stick or the stick is failing.
I would uninstall the drivers and reinstall before I ran out to buy a new router

Again if you had this same settup and nothing has changed it could be hardware.
