Wireless Keyboard and Gaming

Not sure if it should be in this part of the forum, but I have a question about my Wireless Keyboard and gaming. I'm sure some of you may have had experiences with this type of problem in the past and I just want to know if I just need to suck it up or if there is something I can do.

Problem:
While playing games my keyboard will stop working for a second while holding down a key. For isntance, if I'm holding down "w" to move forward, my character will stop moving forward and I have to hit it again and it will do the same thing. It makes it very difficult to play FPS games and inconvenient, but still doable, for MMORPG games.

Any help? Thanks.

as far i as i know, anything wireless have delays. i never had any experience with a wireless keyboard, but i owned a wireless mouse for a while. i noticed a split second delay when moving the mouse, and the cursor later. it was terrible playing CSS on it, so i switched back to a wired mouse.

Well, I've been looking around and apparently Microsoft wireless keyboards aren't so good for gaming and unfortunately that's what I have. I suppose I will have to invest in a wired keyboard for gaming.

Stupid Microsoft...

Ive never had a problem with my logitech wireless mouse + keyboard.

Try new batteries...thats what mine does when the batteries are low.

I have a crappy wireless logitech keyboard, i don't have any problems with response time. Works great for me :P

I don't see how you can fix that, maybe just look into a new keyboard?

i have a Logitech EX110 cordless mouse and keyboard set and tbh ive found it to be great, its accurate in cod4 and dont see any time delays.

the only think that annoys me is when the battries die on me in the middle of a god round :D

im going back to wired when these bite the dust.

Well, apparently logitech is good.

Take note everyone who is looking for a new mouse/keyboard: Don't buy microsoft wireless. The mouse is ok, but the keyboard isn't! (Not for gaming at least).

To be honest, it evens lacks in simple application settings. You can't ctrl + v very fast, because it will do the same thing as described in the first post. It will stop recognizing that you're holding down ctrl and you will just be typing v.

Well...thats a bummer. Yeah, I wouldnt be able to live with that. I would recomend looking into a new keyboard.

The only thing I can think of that wireless is bad (from experience) is when you're in game and your batteries die out.

Logitech are very good - i would recommend them to anyone! Logitech have some good gaming keyboards + mouses.
