What is a good wireless keyboard and mouse that has decent distance and is good on batteries? I'm going to be moving my PC into my closet and I need a wireless keyboard and mouse that has a strong RF signal and has a range around 10-15 feet.

I have the Microsoft 7000 lazer desktop and it is VERY good on batteries and has good range, but you have to remain on a fairly straight plane with the receiver. Meaning, if the receiver is at 3.5 feet off the ground on your desk, then your keyboard and mouse need to be very close to theat height to remain working good. The microsoft receiver seems a LOT better than the old Logitech wireless set I had.

mouse - logitech VX revolution is a good mouse with good power sonsumption
logitech MX revolution for something more high end, comes with rechargable batteries and charging dock
logitech G7, i have one, excellent moyse with 2 rechargable batteries featuring quick swap system where if one batery runs out, switch with the one in the charging dock so u never run of batteries not do u need to spend money on regular batteries

I dont think your going to find a typical 27hz keyboard and mouse set that will have the range of 10-15 feet. You might find luck with a bluetooth keyboard, but be wary, ive heard they suck for gaming (slight delay).

Mice on the other hand you have many many more options. Such as the G7 which with the 2.7ghz frequency reaches around 30 feet. The only draw back is the battery lasts about 9 hours of continued use, but as jds21 pointed out, it does come with two batteries (once charges while the other is in use, then swap them).

I know this is a little off topic, but why are you sticking your pc in the closet?! It could overheat and what if you want to plug in your usb drive, you have to walk all the way over :P. And how are you getting your monitor working, I thought VGA or DVI could only go about 6 foot?
