Wireless mouse and keyboard

I'm in the process of building my first computer. I was planning on using my old keyboard and mouse, but might get a wireless one....Room is not an issue so I may not.

Are there keyboards and mice where the recievers are build into the case....therefore our don't have to take up an empty usb port, and or have something sticking out of the side of your computer...

If someone does make a case with built in IR port, it would just be plugged into a usb connector on the motherboard. Thus eliminating, say a spot to hook up a front case usb port.
