Wireless Network Question

I'm new to having a wireless network and I need to change it from an open-access to a security-enabled network.... I have no Idea how.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

if I'm being vague... I mean that I want my wireless to only be accessable to people with a password.

that's exactly what wep and/or wpa-psk are. You should be able to find these in your security options on your router, go to 192.168.1.1 (or 192.168.2.1 perhaps) in your browser and you should be able to find them in there. I was using WPA-PSK which is an actual password you use, but I switched to WEP cause my laptop kept losing the key, which takes a phrase and converts that to hexadecimal somehow I believe and the hex is the key used. I would also turn off broadcast so that way nobody should be able to see oyur router unless they know the ssid (the name you give to the network)
