Wireless Networking

Always awkward putting your first post on a forum, but hello - I hope you can help! :)

I have a query about setting up a home wireless network. In the house we have a laptop that already has a wireless netword card, and I'm assuming a broadband modem and also a slightly older desktop PC without a wireless netword card or broadband modem (both are being purchased).

My question is (and it's probably quite simple) is should I be looking at buying a plain Wireless Router or do I need a Wireless Modem Router?

I guess that I just need the plain router, but am just looking for confirmation.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Greetings!

If you have a Broadband Modem, you just need a Wireless Router.

The Modem will plug into the Router, and then each computer will be able to connect to the Router, and have internet access.

Well, you will need a broadband ISP first. Hopefully you do. Your post hints that you are just buying it, so just to make sure we're all on the same page.
