wireless not working!! please help

Hello, i have a sony vaio running on windows xp home edition, i am unable to use the wireless as the wireless section on the control panel has dissapeared, it used to be there, but now the only internet things on there are not for wireless or are about networking computers. how do i get my wireless back?? thank you

if you go to control panel, then network and internet, you should be able to reset the wireless adapter from there.

how i would i do this, i cant see any option to restart it?? thanks

go to control panel, network and internet, network and sharing center, then change adapter settings, and you should see you wireless adapter listed.

i dont have the network and sharing center! sorry. any other suggestions?

Go into device manager and see if the driver for the wireless card is installed. If you see any devices listed with yellow question marks then you still need drivers installed.
