Wireless phones stops internet

I have High Speed Cable connection, and use a Linksys WRT 54G router. Using both wire and wireless. I have several Uniden 2.4 GH wireless phones. For years everything worked ok. Lately when anyone use one of the phones it shut down the internet, wire and wireless. What could be the problem and what steps should I take to fix?
Thank You;

Problem is that the wireless headphones are on the same frequency, so it is killing the wireless internet signal, try changing the channels on either the headphones or the wireless.

It's not headphones, just landlines with wireless handsets. True, the phones and router are both 2.4GH, but I have been using them both for years without any problems, Then suddenly,BAM: every time the phones are used the internet dies, even the comp hooked to the router by ethernet cable dies. The phones are two different but both sets are 2.4GH. Any phone kills all 4 comp on net.

What channel are you using to connect to your wireless router?

You can check by going to 192.168.1.1

Clicking on Wireless and then Wireless channel will tell you which channel you are connected to.

well that explains a lot!

Change the channel to the channel furthermost away from that. Try changing to 11 or 14 if you can get it. Just change it back if anything bad happen.

Drop it down to channel like 2, since the most commonly used channels are like 6 through 10 for most devices. Also, if you have multiple APs in your house make sure you don't also keep them all on the same channel.

Thanks to everyone, I have set to channel 11, test suggest problem may be solved. Will let post later if any problems.
