Wireless Problem on Laptop

I have a Dell Studio 1537 laptop with a 64-bit operating system. The wireless Internet no longer works for some reason. When I switch it on, it never is able to find any networks, even though on my college campus there is always access to networks. Whenever I click diagnose the probem, it only says that I should turn on the switch that activates the wireless network, but it's already on! This is highly problematic and frustrating. I have tried restarting the computer and that doesn't fix the problem, so I'm not sure what will.

If you are sure the wireless switch is on, the next thing to try would be to uninstall the driver and then install the latest version to see if that works.

Any idea on exactly how to do that? And why would wireless suddenly stop working when it had been working for so long before? I just don't get it. Does it have something to do with me starting to use the Ethernet cord, because before I started with that it always worked. But even after I had started using it, I could still switch to wireless sometimes.

It took awhile before I tried this, but it worked! I am posting this message using wireless Internet for the first time in over a month. Thanks!
