Wireless Problem

Went to setup Wirless for a friend, they are using the LINKSYS and I got to either stage 6 or 8, and it was asking for a password (they tried to set it up thereself before) and it wont accept the password in the book or the password they put in.

Anyone know how I can reset the password?

Isn't there a reset button on the back of the router? You might need a pen or sharp pencil.

its when installing the software it asks for the password at stage 6.

yeh if u resetted it it should sort it out, it would reset all the adsl settings tho so u would need to re enter these, which isnt much of a problem.

i know with my router a bt voyager that the default password and user id is 'Admin' it could be the same with yours...

anyway i would reset the router thats probably the best thing to do.
