Wireless problems

I am always having problems connecting to the internet on my laptop

I have a NetGear WGR614v7 router

I can sometimes connect but sometimes it just says it is "Acquiring Network Address"

It just keeps saying that and cannot connect..how can I fix this?

Has it ever worked? Do you have some sort of wireless security enabled? Have you tried disabling it?

Yeah and I do have security...Ill try disabling it tommorrow (kind of late right now )
