Wireless Router plus print server?

Me and my fiancee went yard sailing (haha thats punny) today and one guy was selling a box full of computer parts. Not knowing what I would dig up, I bought it off of him...for a $1. So I get it home and among some of the interesting odds and ends was a Speedstream print server. It is the ss2604 to be exact and I was wandering if I can hook this up to my wireless router and throw a printer on it and have a wireless printer? If so, how would I configure it and where would it go in the chain?

I also found a 9-port workgroup hub...not sure what Ill do with that one either...

Nice find! Configuring it through a wireless router should be no different than setting it up with a wired router.

wont they have the same ip though? Since technically the Speedstream is a router with a print server? Is it ok to have two router hooked up?

Different brands of routers use different default IPs, which you can change through the routers settings. However, I would guess that most routers would detect an IP conflict when connected and change it's own IP automatically. There should be no issue with connecting multiple routers together.

What its probably going to do is act like any other print server. You probably log into the GUI of the speedstream and set it up... then on your computer add a network printer... specifiy that IP as the server and it should list all the printers connected to it. so whenever you print it will send the job to the speedstream and it will handle the rest.

Awesome! I was afraid there would be some weird issues with it. ill wait till we get our house to get it hooked up but glad to know that it works.
