Wireless Trouble

My friend has a Acer Aspire 4910 laptop that had xp upgraded to vista but lost a file. When I rebooted the system today, I only put xp back on it. Now I can't figure out how to get it to connect to the internet. With my Toshiba Satellite with windows 7:D, I don't have any trouble connecting. Any insight would be helpful.

Are you sure the wireless driver is installed?

I not actually sure if it is. When it rebooted it wouldn't install anything because there was no internet connection. So it has confused me.

That's your problem. You need to install the device drivers first.

I didn't see an Aspire 4910 listed. You may want to double check that. But you can go here to download the latest drivers for the laptop:

http://support.acer.com/

And don't ask "How am I going to get them onto the laptop when it doesn't connect to the internet." I'll tell you right now: Use another computer to download them to a flash drive.
