wirelss connection

having probs with my connection,where default gateway is there are no numbers.It says i have signal strength but no connection,my other pc is fine .Anyone have any ideas?.... thanks nicole

Well if you don't have a gateway set, then you're defiantly not getting online. If you have another computer that's getting online, could you simply get the gateway from it?

yes but i cant type anything in the box... the curser is flashing but wont type

Um...you're not using the number pad with the num-lock off, are you?

Have you tried enabling DHCP?

dont think ive got the lock on but ill try it now.... how do i enable dhcp?

You WANT num-lock on Well, if you're trying to use an number pad.

There should be a radio button by "Obtain an IP address automatically. That enables DHCP.

the numbers arnt working whether the lock is on or off.the only radio button is on the 'wireless client configuration utility' box,and ive always been told never to tick this off as it says 'radio off'

Could you post a screen shot of the window? It sounds like we're not talking about the same dialog box
