Witch windows xp is the best

Which? There is only 2 versions. PRO and HOME.

PRO would probably be best. It doesn't really matter if you get the SP2 packages or not because they are all free for download.
 
Don't forget about Media Center Edition...though that is basically home with lots of extra crap :P

And in the future, please try and post in the correct section.
 
You should buy the right OS for you. Don't buy the PRO if you arent going to use the PRO side of it. Don't buy the X64 if you arent going to use it...

Do you use a domain, plan on sharing files etc?
