(what i've got) + more HDD space
Thats debatable. While SLI isn't quite the big performance boost everyone thinks it is (it taxes your cpu more to split the video workload properly) if you run a light cpu game (ala doom3, hl2) then his will run a lot faster. about the HDD space, not everyone needs a terrabyte :P

thats debatable
true and it doesnt indeed depend on where and where you buy things (say like the last computer show :p) (course I do have the reciepts somewhere. )

about the HDD space, not everyone needs a terrabyte
true but if to max out the $2k and its doable . then why not?

yo proaetor whats your input on this.
on what?

on the topic " With $2,000 How Would You Build Your Dream Computer" , i see your specs, and you prob happy, but im guesin its being a while since you last bought yours, new stuff comes out,and prices drop....am gonna put it hard it for you,,if you only had 1500,usa dollars americano, what parts would you but,to have a monster computer,,,try to see if you can include the monitor,,if not,its cool

most people didnt even get to 1,500 dollars,, but is okey,i guess is fine, thanks for your input. YOU STILL NEED TO INPUT YOUR DREAM COMPUTER. PLIS POST<KEEP THIS POST ALIVE<<BYE BYE

according to the faq, if its not explicitly stated than its usd.

since our systems are almost identicle, i would have to agree, although i would like another gig of ram as well. i do a lot of graphics rendering and am starting to get more and more into video editing, so it most certainly wouldn't hurt. :)

on the topic " with $2, 000 how would you build your dream computer"
i already answered that question with my first post.

but im guesin its being a while since you last bought yours, new stuff comes out, and prices drop
but since I upgrade at least once a week I hardly see the point of such analysis.

am going to put it hard it for you, , if you only had 1500, usa dollars americano, what parts would you but, to have a monster computer, , , try to see if you can include the monitor, , if not, its cool
1. no need to include monitor. I get it for $1-$2. 50
2. I don't need a monster computer and your definition of monster computer is quite different from mine so the comparison probably doesnt work well for you if you're trying to find a nice setup for yourself
3. to asnwer the question . "what ive got and a bit more HDD space". things are cheaper on this side of the border and if you know when and where to buy.

you still need to input your dream computer. plis post<keep this post alive<<bye bye
1. no I don't have to input anything I just choose to
2. as ive said and will continue to say -- just because you don't get an answer "now" doesnt mean you won't get one eventually -- that is, unless you keep badgering.

since our systems are almost identicle, I would have to agree, although I would like another gig of RAM as well. I do a lot of graphics rendering and am starting to get more and more into video editing, so it most certainly wouldn't hurt
yes indeedy :)

I'd get what's in my sig, plus the 17 in. LG Flatron L1710S I have actually already purchased, and I would upgrade to a GeForce 6800 256 MB GFX card, which ever version (of course not the Asus V9999) would fit into the budget. Also, if possible, a 3400+ or 3500+ 64. :D

of course not the Asus V9999
Considering it doesnt exist ... good call (perhaps you meant the V9999GT but then again thats a 6800GT ... perhaps the V9999GE ... but thats a sweet deal if you softmod ... certainly not the V9999Ultra Deluxe ... cuz thats a handsdown killer) :)

Also, if possible, a 3400+ or 3500+ 64
3400 yes, 3500 no. The 3500 is Socket939 only
