WMP 10 keeps going into old format Help :|

Hey guys

Right ive had Windows Media Player 10 installed on my XP Pro system for 2yrs or so without a hitch. Recently ive noticed when trying to watch some sort of streaming clip or anything from the net such as a music video it looks like this : http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/5310/wmpmess7ln.png

This is the old classic windows media player is it not ? It dosnt even connect it comes up with a error, i find my self reinstalling WMP 10 every few days just so it works properly. Anyone know what could be causing this change of version ? i havnt installed any other media players or anything so im a bit confused.

do you go to that same site to check? after you reinstall it.

i have always thought that was the site. Well, what browser are you using? if possible, you can try other ones.

Do you have any viruses, I dont think that can be a proble, but you can try doing a scan.
 
Nope i try a ton of different sites just to make sure always get the same prog. Im using Internet Exploer 6, i dont like the other browsers cant be arsed changing to be honest, IE has never let me down. I have no viruses ran a system check twice and no problems.
