** Fixed **
I have not been able to start up Windows Media player 11. Whenever I try to open the program (through shortcut, quick launch, by opening a file set to default open with WMP {mp3, mpeg, etc}) it simply won't start. For a second it will appear in task manager > Processes, but then it will disappear as if something else is killing the program whenever it tries to run.
Last night I installed Avira AntiVir, and before that I had no problems running WMP11. So I'm assuming it might be something in Avira terminating WMP11. I uninstalled Avira through add/remove, but WMP11 still doesn't load.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling WMP11, but I'm still getting the same problem.
I can still run other programs such as quicktime and iTunes without any issues.
Any help in getting this fixed will be appreciated.
