WMP running slow

ok, so everything on my computer works fine and goes nice and fast but my windows media player is obnoxiously slow. when i maximize and minimize it takes a couple of seconds to do so and a couple of seconds till i cant click something in WMP. it works fine on my moms computer which doesnt even compare to mine
so does anyone know wuht the problem might be? also the Visualization goes slow but the music doest skip or anything

dont use Visualizations, do you really need them? no
remove some Coloms like : Rating, Size, Composer, etc.
and also goto the settings and check if every thing is ok.
