WMP wont play video, only sound

i put a video on my computer via DVD, it works fine, MY WMP works just peachy but when i transferred it onto my brothers HP with my ipod, (just using it like a drag and drop flash drive,) i tried playing it with his WMP and i only heard sound.

something strange also happened. his computer is kinda laggy so when i dragged a window over the 'video' that was playing, it did that thing where you move the window but it copies itself and sticks a bunch of times. (hard to explain, those of you with bad computers know what i mean)

so when it did that, it refreshed a few seconds later, and most of the copies went away, but on a square of pixels in the middle of where the 'movie' is playing is, the windows did not disappear and left a definite square, where this video apparently is.


does anyone know how i can get this video to work in WMP? it works ok in DivX, but i would rather fix this problem instead of brush it to the side...

Sounds like an software related problem. Most of us had know of the thing you drag over and repeats itself... At least I know

Try installing and reinstalling WMP.

try getting a WMP codec pack, k-lite or something like it.

It seems that you don't have appropriate codec for it.Try K-lite media codec pack.OR you can try power DVD player also.
