Is this new version DirectX 9c or 10?

If it's new i'd say it would be DirectX10 but i could be wrong... I mean, there's nothing wrong with how DirectX9.0c looks.

If you have XP and a DirectX10 capable card there is a way to get DX10 for windows xp... do a google search:

"DX10 for XP"

It's called the Alky Project. This allows you to use your DX10 graphics in XP, along with some configuration of the game you want to play (In Crysis, you will have to edit some config files)

I got it installed, checked DXDIAG and it registered DX10. But I can't access DX10 in Crysis. :-/

You need to edit some .cfg files where crysis is installed to make the highest options available. open them with notepad. There should be some graphics quality options... the highest is 4, but in XP they are set to 3.. so set them to 4 to make DX10 available in crysis

nah linkin im pretty sure this was was proven not to work, as far as it changing the graphics it doesnt. i may be wrong but im sure ive read that on like 3 different websites

it runs on the doom 3 engine

FYI there is no way to get DX10 is vista

It never worked...it has been proven time and time again.

This was a good idea but if they DID get it working Microsoft would have barred them in court them since that was one of the major selling points to Vista was Dx10.

With luck DX11 is more widely used since DX10 was not used to its full potential since the retard storm of "hate" on Vista.
