well i dont think your accurate. i play timeshift, fear, need for speed shift, guitar hero 3 and aerosmith all maxed out on 1080p 32in lcd tv. i wouldnt bother playing them if they wernt able to look good, might as well get a ps1 or 2 if i wanted to do that. i know it wont max out other games, but the ones i do have will max them out all the way, with no lag. i just know its at the end of its life with newer games coming out, and ive tried the 4890 today and gaming is good, but no difference in the games i currently play obviosly since im already playing them maxed out, but the movie play back is worse than the 8800gt for some reason, all grainy and blocky. so i reinstalled the 8800gt for now and the clarity is back to how it should be with my dvds. i have no idea why the 4890 would do that, ive cleaned out all other drivers, did a reg cean and anything else i could think of and still not so good quality with dvds. so my 8800gt is working for now but i think ill try a gtx260? hows that comparible to the 4890? is it a descent overclocker? could i get it overclocked to say be comparible to a 275 or 285?...thanks for the opinions and if any one has some insight to the grainyness and blockyness l please let me know. iv tinkered with the ccc and avivo settings with no improvement. i know its not the movie because they are all original dvds, and they are crystal clear with the 8800gt so its the 4890 thats making them that way. thanks again
