Hello. Can anyone help me. My desktop computer has a dvd burn drive, though when I went to burn it did even read the blank dvd I bought. Is it because I have the wrong type of blank dvd. I noticed some say DVD-R and some say DVD-RW. I read what the difference is on wikpedia. Seems both should work. Then is it because there is also different, what I think is callled "spin speeds". Some say 4X, some 12X and 16X and 52X etc etc. If you have any suggestions, Id be gratefull. Paul Brady. WA state USA.

What program are using to burn the DVD?

Windows doesn't have native dvd burning like it does for cd's. You need to have a dedicated burning program installed like Nero, Roxio, or something similar.

The program

I forst got the videos compiled from you tube onto real player. It would burn unless I bought an upgrade. So I tried the windows media player, it doesnt burn dvds. Then I downloaded a burner player called "free easy buner". It seems to show it that it will onto blank dvd disks I buy from walmart. Only it wont read it. I can get the files onto the player, though, it says, "load a blank disk" and I do and then, it wont read it. I even changed the spin speed, you can adjust it, to the right one, 16X, it wont work. Although it does say DVD-RW and I have blank disks that read DVD-R. Do you think I have to buy the other kind of disks, to get it to work and or read. Thanks. All the best. Paul Brady WA State USA.
