Wont Post.

Just finished my new build.

Asus PK53 Deluxe Wifi - Mobo
Intel Q6600 Quad Core - Processor
Ati Radeon Club 3D HD 3850 Pro - Graphics Card
4gb Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz - Memory
Updated bios to the latest available.

I used my old dvd drives and hard drives...one sata and two ide (bought a ide pci controler card to install these)

Now my problem is.....sometimes when i turn my pc off and try turn it back on again it wont post.....randomly but ever so annoying...also when in bios pressing F10 to save and exit turns the pc off and again wont post... only way im able to restart is by removing the bios battery.

Why is this happening?

How can i check is my system is stable? are there any software available etc?

Did you overclock?
That was causing my computer not to post once >.<

naa

nope aint got round to any overclocking or tweaking settings yet!!!

was looking for a stable system first.

However before i updated the bios i was getting an overclocking error message on startup...but i think this was just due to the quad core cpu not being fully supported by the previous bios...soon as i updated this went away.

hmm think automatic overclocking may be enabled tho!!
