So I was with my buddy yesterday and we were going back to his house from fishing and I notice that his neighbor across the street had her trash out. I notice a desk and a old school big monitor. I then saw behind the monito a LCD one, so I was like heck I'm going take it and see whats wrong with it. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, no scratches nothing. So I figured since the lady is older she probbaly got a bigger screen. Well I hooked it up today and it works! Nothing wrong at all picture is great!

So the monito is a Acer X163. Only thing is it doesn't have any speakers. And on the back the only ports are for the power and the cord for the tower. So I was wondering if I can hook up speakers to this?

You would hook up speakers to the computer, not the monitor. Not sure if thats what you meant though..
 
Yup thats what I meant, for some reason I thought the monitor because sometimes I would remember a speaker wire on the monitor. Thanks!
 
Yea I am pretty happy on how it works and all, even cause how mint condition it is! Looks like I'll be ordering some speakers, hard drive, laptop cooler now from newegg. Can't wait to get this other computer up and running
 
wow thats great,just googled up a pic of the monitor and its quite nice.

As for it not having any speakers,The built in ones tend to be crap anyway.

Knock on her door and tell her to phone you if shes throwing anything else out :D
 
Sweet,

That's a nice score. I'm using an old 15" Monitor as a second that I picked up for free when a family member upgraded their PC. Not the best picture quality - b/c it's an old budget model - but to watch a Ballgame while I'm on my PC - it works great.
