CPU - Intel Core Duo T2400 Yonah 478 Processor - $251.99
Mobo - ??? maby this ASUS N4L-VM DH Socket 479 Intel 945GM Micro ATX - $144.99 -- why does it say its intel core duo campatible when the intel core duo's are 478 not 479??
RAM - ?? want a good 2gb gaming ram that i can OC and will just switch the RAM i have now into it, if i get the mobo above (which its max is 2gb) will it run slower b/c all slots are filled?

I'd get a new case, a slightly less powerful PSU, and less RAM(probably just plain budget RAM) I really don't think it'll make that much of a difference for just desktop stuff. Also, some video card, like a 7300, would really help with your performace, and might help with stuff such as 3D rendering. I know my laptop can't display previews right in Poser... For a DVD-RW, I'd look into some NEC brand drives. THey are usally cheap and quite reliable.

However, everything there seems good...

thx The_Other_One

how about this for a DVD-RW - NEC 16X DVD±R DVD Burner - $35.49

as for video card. not really going to do anything like 3D rendering just internet and documents like word , excel, etc. i know its kinda much for such simple tasks but i want it to last a long time.

Sorry for the lateish responce. Busy with job stuff now :p

The additions look fine. I know you'll be pleased with that DVD-RW. I'm super pleased with my older model(eh, 3250 I think...) As for video, I figured you wouldnt' really need anything better, but they are quite cheap anymore(sub-$50) and they REALLY boost your performace when it comes to anything 3D. Plus, it doesn't steal your system RAM, which I can not STAND!
