Just finish building my own gaming rig. Now I need to build 1 for my parents.

They will be using it for work (apps such as ms word, excel, outlook express etc..) and watching online videos. I already got a simple casing (no cooling fans at all), a 17 inch monitor and a 550w psu. I was thinking of:
x2 555
biostar ta790gx
4gb 1333mhz ram

I was thinking of using only the onboard graphics card or should I get a basic one? If so, which one should I get?

Unlocking is a hit or a miss. I imagine you're talking about a Phenom II X2 above? (You need to be a little more specific as there is more than one X2 in this world) I unfortunately couldn't do it with my CPU.

Going back to your case selection in your last post, you're gonna need SOME kind of fan in there for cooling, otherwise it'll all overheat.
 
So, it is better for me to get a 4 core than try my luck on the x2 555? If so, which cpu and mobo set will u then recommend? If possible, I will like to buy a cpu, mobo and ram within $250.

If all your parents will be doing is office and video watching, then you don't need a quad core. It's very overkill. Just go with the 555.

Thanks for catching that. I looked at a lot of combos yesterday and mislinked that one. Here's another w/6Gb/s - ubs 3

If you need a work PC, just get a cheap box from Newegg. You won't need to spend more than around $400 for something already assembled with an OS installed. Cheers.
