Hi Folks,

First time poster and first time building my own computer. Have always gone the manufacturer route! Here's what I've got picked out and any feedback on the hardware would be greatly appreciated!

Use:

My work consists of mostly digital work (web design and development), with some print, some 3D, and some video, which means I use a wide of variety of software:
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, and Premiere)
  • SketchUp and Rhinoceros
  • Microsoft Office
  • XAMPP - which runs local instances of Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Perl
I typically buy for longevity and reliability through solid and higher performing hardware. My current computer (Dell XPS 435T running Win. 7 Ultimate) has lasted me 6 years.

So performance, longevity, and something that is quiet as possible is important (it will sit on a desk right next to me).

Here's what I'm looking at:

Beers - no, not all the time. But when I'm running multiple Adobe programs in addition 3D programs, I do utilize quite a bit. Just depends on the complexity of the files and how many I might be referring to at any given point.
