Why are they always like a ghost town with no players?

Its a fantastic game....brilliant maps.

just seems everytime i go in there theres only 2 servers, which are full!!

i always have to create one, then at the most 3 people join

It's because you can't get dedicated servers for zombie maps.

With CoD4 and WaW the normal game has dedicated servers, but zombie games are hosted locally so just about everyone who plays them plays with friends, firstly because then they know they can get a full game, secondly because they can keep it more organised, because generally it will be at a LAN party where everyone can talk or in a clan with vent being used, thridly so they can keep pings fairly low.

That is why there are very very few public zombie servers but loads of passworded ones

Well thats wierd that you say they are only local for zombie mode...because most of the time im playing with people from across the pond in the US

They are locally hosted, meaning not on a main server. When you get the big game servers, your 40 player servers, they are, as you know, hosted on a dedicated server. With zombies the server is someones home computer, like when you set one up it is your internet connection and your computer that is the server, so people from US can still join yours, you can join theres, your ping probably won't be great, but you can still connect
