i just wanted to know...when u barely get WoW..and u have the first month of gameplay free..do u need a credit card for that time?? like when ur subscibing??? because i am 16 and dont have a credi card and my parents would not go for using their credit card just so i can play...so i would be buying the pre-paid game cards...so yeah...when u get WoW no credit card is involved for the first month right???

I believe that they offer prepaid cards much like a prepaid phone, and so you shouldn't need anything more than the card number, but wait for corroboration on this before buying for sure. Or, you can ask someone at the store if they know for sure...
 
You can use pre-paid game cards to activate the account.... I did that. The only downside is they're hard to find as they are so popular but recently, i have been seeing them more often.... just try any game store that sells WoW or places like Circuit City or CompUSA.

They're other methods though.... I heard you can use the Simon Gift Card (the ones for the mall) or if you have any coinstars around you, you can create a debit gift card that would probably work. Heck, just try any old or expired gift card just once to activate the account, they work for just one day until they realize it's bad. (I wouldn't try it too much cuz they might ban your account.)
 
so if u buy WoW and buy pre-paid cards u never have to show a credit card?? not even when ur barely setting up and account?
 
If you buy WoW,you get the free month,to get the month,you need to activate your account via

1)Credit Card plan-give them your number and info.

2)Pre-Paid Card plan-give them the number on the pre-paid card,NOT THE CREDIT CARD!There is no credit card needed.

Also if you are having trouble finding the cards eBay normally has a decent supply on there just make sure you buy a few days in advance even though the code is emailed to you, its not always instant

so you DO need a credit card to activate the account...mann :( im 16 and have no credit card and my parents won't go for using their card...what if you dont want the free month, since i dont have a card, can i just buy a pre paid card and just not have a free month ??? sry for all the questions

No credit card, just find a prepaid card and enter that. Then you should have a free month and the time that the card gives you as well...

NO! You do not need a credit card! Whoever told you that is a liar. You can buy a WoW prepaid card at a local electronic store (best buy etc.). You never once have to enter in your credit card. EVER. The WoW card is all you need which can be bought for $30 and lasts two months. NO CREDIT CARD REQIURED FOR WoW.
 
Also, don't buy from eBay, ESPECIALLY if they e-mail it to you.... eBay is riddled with scams and you might get a code that has already been used...
 
Who said you need one,i said if you want to you can activate your account with a credit card and play with a plan.YOU JUST NEED A PRE-PAID CARD TO ACTIVATE.

EDIT:Just read my last post,i forgot the or between the 2 options.My bad bro.
 
trust my words... quit while u are ahead! the addictiveness is gross...... glad i quit ><..... but if not, then have fun, and no cred card required.. although i think its cheaper... gl
