So whats the worst computer you've owned or seen still operating?

Post specs if you can, heres mine:

My Dad's laptop
~1.3 Ghz Celeron D
768mb RAM
40gb HD
Pathetic onboard graphics (48mb)
Crippled with trojans, malware, spyware and the likes..poor thing can barely run, s'ok though he just uses it for banking.

Whats yours?

He uses an infected machine for... banking?! There's a security risk if there ever was one...

Mine is my current HP laptop, the specs are OK but it's just badly built and generally poor.

haha, you think THATS bad? this is one I used to have part ownership, now it's my little bro's:

800MHz P3
4XX MB RAM
ATI Radeon rage pro (8mb)
6gb hdd

yeah its pretty lame, but it stills runs fine.

As for seeing the worts running? well, i think it was one with onboard RAM, still in the kb's, not mb's. the thing was frikkin pathetic, and was designed for windows 4.1, i think, but was running 95. OMG it was sad.

Before I could afford my current PC I had an old laptop with a broken screen plugged into a 15" Gateway CRT monitor.

The specs of the laptop were I think a 5XX MHZ Celeron, 96 megs of ram and a 4 gig hdd. I got rid of it sometime around January this year! Actually it was July not January!

This laptop was quality, didn't even have an ethernet port and only had 1 USB!

well the worst computer i have seen operating was in 2007 in a local internet cafe down town!(my mates internet cafe)
it was so slow and it took about a good f*ckin 45 minutes for google to come on. but now i have my own pc i stay at home when needing a pc to check emails and online things.
i told my mate to buy some decent computers and to get these ones repaired but he didnt know what to do.
so i checked the system of the pc i was on and it said 66 megs of ram and 100mhz i think it was!

I have an IBM thinkpad and the date in the bottom says 1991 it has only 64 MB of RAM

and is running XP kinda slow

But hey it works

I have no idea of the specs or anything but I had a very old computer made by a company I never heard of which ran Windows 95 and went wrong everytime I started it up.

I've had a lot of really old computers, but the worst quality one is actually fairly recent... it's an HP and overheats all the time. Here's the specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ (runs up to 2.1GHz, but is normally only at 1GHz.) :P
ASUS Hematite-XL
1GB (only uses 894MB) DDR2 Samsung RAM 200MHz
320GB (I believe it's made by Seagate)
Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit

And it's all stuffed into a case that's 5" wide and has a sideways CPU cooler (meaning the fan is on the side of the heatsink and not the top like it normally is.)

used to play cs on an old compaq a few hears back.

666mhz P3
128mb ram
20gb hdd
onboard video

i remember when i installed an nvidia geforce 5200. whew that thing was a beast after that.

I believe it's this one:

All it can do is Basic, nothing else.

I cant say iv had a bad computer lol in terms of specs though

455Mhz (i think)
64MB Ram
Old school graphics card not even sure what it was
13.1GB HDD
145W PSU
Windows XP Pro

She was awesome great for what i wanted that computer taught me alot about computers wouldn't be the same without it lol

OLD COMPUTERS FTW

:D:D:D:D:D

The crappiest ive ever owned would be a nice ol NEC pentium 200mhz computer. Not that it was the worst spec at the time i had it, i just have a bad early memory of it and it was hell for me to deal with at the time. It was especially fun since it came from a business and was not wiped. I also got it for free and it didn't come with any manuals.

Worst computer i still have is a IBM Thinkpad 1160 iSeries or something. 500mhz celeron 64mb ram :D. It still works with the adapter except the old windows 98 OS on it is fubar and the battery holds no charge.

ive never realy had any bad computers, they have all been reliable and fast for the time.

i had one with a Cyrix 2 processor (i think) and it was great, also a Pentium 2 pc running windows 2000 that was great too.
although it had a dodgy soundcard, somedays it would work...and sometimes not :D

That thing is a Beauty!

When i started in computers 12 years ago, we had a gateway 2000 tower.

220mhz pentium pro
64mb ram
4gb (huge at the time) quantum fireball
ati 3drage pro

at the time, it was top tier at it's time.
