not worth it due to onboard video card and slow hard drive.

the card is onboard but it has its own memory.

it has dedicated "hypermemory" and is faster than a shared ram onboard video but don't expect much from it.

for the price of that laptop posted i've seen cheaper laptops with geforce 6800.

Yes, that 200m is ati's integrated graphics thingy.
that 4200rpm drive will suck for gaming, and will be a pain alot of other times.
Also, desktop processors aren't the best for laptops. They work fine and all, but create a little to much heat for my taste, and take up battery life.

Dell frequently runs $750 off coupons, but u missed the biggest sale i've seen for a long while with their 40% off.

Maybe try to find yourself an asus z71v.
According to where i think your budget is at, it should be very close. I have found it for as low as 1400 with 1gb ram 1.6ghz pm 128mb 6600 and dvd burner and such.

I personally suggest Toshiba Libretto U100/190DSB Notebook, it's a perfect gear for school ^__^"........

Libretto is Great! I have been a Libretto owner for more than 10 years. I heard that Toshiba re-releases its libretto as part of 20th anniversary celebration of the first laptop computer. This small machines almost get everything, and it also come with Fingerprint Reader
