Worth getting a 6000 for BioShock?

Hi guys, I need some advice. Would the rig in my sig benefit from a processer upgrade? I'm thinking of getting a dual core because I just preordered BioShock and I really don't want lag to spoil it. Also the AMD 6000 X2 is going for peanuts nowadays, last time I checked they were like £350 and today I can get one for £100. Do you reckon it's worth doing or should I stick with my current cpu for a bit longer?

Definitely. I'm not sure if Bioshock is well coded for dualies but even if not it's a great upgrade, should net you some extra performance.

Not only would you benefit in Bioshock, but things like DVD ripping and encoding, and everyday stress... I suggest the upgrade, at $169.99 in the US, if I needed it I would jump for it. I have heard of voltage problems on those, you might need to up it to 1.4v, to increase the stability.

Yea, I would really go for a X2 5600, heard the 5600 even clocks better. The 5600 uses 89watts at 2.8 and the 6000 uses 125watts at 3.0. I dont think raising the 5600 by 200mhz is going to make it jump in wattage that much, so it seems the 5600 is more of a efficient processor
