Worth it to use this ram?

Does anyone actually use the DDR2-1200 Ram with the EVA 680i Mobo? Is it actually worth it to get it?

Are you referring to SLI RAM, or just DDR2-1200 RAM?

It depends on how much it costs, because the actual performance difference between DDR2-800 and 1200 is not very noticeable except in benchmarks.

there is no use buying hardcore hardware. get the best value, your stuff will be worth nothing in 3 years

Memory actually lasts quite a while. If you get that, you won't have to worry about overclocking the memory, since the CPU will most likely reach it's limit before that.

Of course it's worth getting if you're an overclocker. Don't listen to these other guys. It has far more headroom for overclocking that DDR2-800. Some DDR2 RAM doesn't overclock worth a damn. Some will only perform depending on the mobo. There are no guarantees.

If you're talking stock performance, then unless you o/c the memory in the BIOS you're not going to see any improvements, but you could tighten the timings and bump the clock a bit.

I would most certainly get it if you can afford it.
