worth overclocking?

Hi there. I'm not exactly keen to destroy my $220 (used) video card any time soon, but I would like an improvement in performance. It's a GTX 770 2gb btw. I used to have a gtx 650 1gb and I tried overclocking it and it didn't make any noticeable difference, and it became unstable after very little overclocking. I'm sure my current card would be better with that, however it does run pretty hot (like 70-75 celcius) when gaming. Also I don't want to try overclocking if it's not even going to make much difference, or if it's going to fry it. So any helpful advice is appreciated.

Might as well try it. You'd have to try pretty hard to fry your card. If it runs too hot, take it back down.

I overclocked my 390 and saw a tangible 5 up to even 15 percent performance increase in benchmarks and games. It basically functions as an R9 390X now.
