I am not building this, i am having a company do it, just i like there warranty and it would be first computer i'm building and that would be a lot of money to put into something and if i screw somethin up, i'd be screwed out of a lot of money. the company's name is Lanlabs.

ouch, i just saw that rating, that does suck. sounds like they screw over at least 25% of there customers.
What kind of build would you guys go with? the i7-920 or the intel core 2 quad Q9450?

I see you have the i7-920 processor, the 12gb of that ram looks good. that asus P6T motherboard, does it still have much room for upgradeability? and that graphics card, it able to handle a game like Crysis with decent FPS? if not, what about world of warcraft? what kind of cooling you got? $700 is an amazing price. Ideally I want something less than $1500, but if i can build myself a good computer for $700 that would be awesome.

I think I'm going the same build as the other thread i see your helping a guy with Bomberboysk, just does it also need thermalpaste + i think i will change the hard drive to velociraptor.
oh yeah, was also changing the case into Antec 1200.

If you dont need a display or wifi, you could toss in another 4890 for two video cards in crossfire and still be around $1400ish.

will do, yeah i really dont need the wi-fi but the display i do need. so i will be looking at around $1550.
Quick question about crossfire, when i add the second card into the machine, does it automatically turn into crossfire and work together for the same monitor or will one card be idle? if so how do i make them into crossfire?
what thermal paste do you recommend?
adding fans to a case hard at all?

You will connect the cards with a crossfire bridge, and then when you install drivers they should have crossfire automatically enabled.
