need help on my new system

ki im building a new pc and i need some help to see if its a good system and if any changes should be made
-amd athlon 64 dual core 3800+ socket 939 LI=128 kb L2=512 kb x2 cpu rb
-asus A8N32-SLI DELUX NF4 SLIX 16 MOTHER BOARD
-crosshair 2 x 1 gb crosshair ram
-western digital 36 gb sata 10000 rpm raptor hard drive
-seagate 200 gb sata 3g 7200rpm sata8 meg cache hard drive
-LG 16 X DVD RW DUAL LAYER with LG 52X32X52 CDR-W w/software
-6 chanel sound card
-XFX GEFORCE 256 MB TV DVI PCIE 256 BIT DDR3 1.1 GHzTV DVI 485MHz
-HIGH END MID TIWER ATX CASE W/450 WATT DUAL FAN PS WITH A 12 CM FAN BUILT IN
-LG LCD L1951S 1280X1024 250 NITS FLATRON BLACK

WITH ALLL THE SOFTWARE AND 3 YEAR FULL COVERAGE WARANTIE ON ALL PARTS AND ALL SOFTWARE.

in the end it is comming up to 2643.85 with the tax included

so if u have any recomendations on my sytem please let me know or changes that chould be made that might decrease the price but keep performance it would be helpfull thanks

IMO, ur not getting the best bang for ur buck... what is ur budget and wut do u plan to do on your computer?

Suit yourself, get a 7900GT/X.
 
Ok, thats the one that Praetor listed, I don't have time to make a suggestion now but the one you have listed is not good enough for the cash you are willing to spend, for 2500 CAD you can have a beast

Can't find any mention of this brand on newegg. Do you mean Corsair? If so, is it ValueSelect or XMS?

If it were me, i'd be inclined to ditch the raptor in favour of drivers with larger capacity, or save the money. The performance difference isn't that significant.

The 250GB drives are less than $10 more expensive. You may also want to consider a drive with a 16MB cache.

Is this the integrated sound, or an actual sound card? If it's a seperate sound card, which card is it, and what will it be used for? Integrated is fine for most purposes

It would really help to know the model of the card here. From what I can find on newegg, the only one that matches the description is a 6800GS, for $199. You'd be better off saving a little money elsewhere, and spending it on a 7900GT (around $100 more expensive). Assuming it's a gaming system.

What's the amperage on the +12V rail of this PSU. With a few exceptions, PSUs that come with a case are generally relatively poor. Spending a little extra on a PSU (something like the X-Clio 450W) would be a good idea in this case.

That seems very expensive for the system in question. Take a look at Computer Specs 101. Praetor's $1300 system, while it doesn't include a monitor or software, will easily outperform yours.
 
k im getting the sli mother board cause i plan on getting a second card later
it was a 6800 gs and it was also corsair i was in a bit of a rush and messed up a few things so i should drop the raptor dive and get the 7900 gt instead the raptor was worth about 140 and its and actual sound card the store deals with one companye i have no idea wich one so thanks for the advice so the rest of teh system is allright and il look at dropping the raptor and getting a 7900 gt and the case is preaty good it was the best one they had in there store it was a little cheaper than two other models but they recomended it thanks again
 
thanks guys for all the help u have givem me it helps so much i think the reason y my systemis more expensive is because its a store im not really building i probably could but i dont have a credit card il consider all the options u guys have givem me

No problems. I still think that the cost of the system is too high, though. The cost of the components is a LOT less than that
